This airshow is one of the largest free airshows which takes place annually in Europe. This airshow combines 2 great things: the air planes and the beach. Set against the stunning backdrop of Bournemouth's seven miles of golden sand, the festival has grown from a modest local event to one of the UK's premier aviation spectacles.
Bournemouth proves that the best things in life really are free. A million visitors, seven miles of golden sand, and aircraft performing over the ocean.
Four Days of Coastal Spectacle
The festival runs over four days in late August, attracting over a million visitors. The air display line runs parallel to the beach, giving spectators an uninterrupted view of the action from the shore. The Red Arrows, Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, and international display teams all feature prominently.
Night Air Displays
The night air displays are a particular highlight. As dusk settles, illuminated aircraft perform choreographed routines against the darkening sky, creating a magical atmosphere that captivates audiences of all ages.
