      <title>The Black Eagles will make their UK debut at Waddington!</title>

	  <description>For the first time ever the Republic of Korea Air Force will be seen  in the skies above the RAF Waddington International Air Show this  summer, with their Black Eagles Display Team, in what will be the team's  very first UK air show appearance.  The team, who reformed in 2009 to  fly the indigenous T-50 Golden Eagle training aircraft, will arrive in  the UK in mid-June and then display at RAF Waddington before moving onto  RIAT and Farnborough.  The T-50 is an advanced jet trainer first flew  in 2002 and is capable of Supersonic speeds.</description>

      <title>The Saudi Hawks make their Waddington Debut!</title>

	  <description>RAF Waddington has welcomed the news that another nation will make their debut at the 2012 show - it will be the first time that the Royal Saudi Air Force has been represented at the Air Show, with their national display team, the Saudi Hawks.  The Saudi Hawks, flying 6 British Aerospace Hawk jet trainers, painted in green and white the national colours of Saudi Arabia, were formed in 1998 to represent the Saudi nation and act as ambassadors across the world. The arrival of the Saudi Hawks at Waddington will make the nation of Saudi Arabia the 33rd nation to take part in the air show since it began.</description>

      <title>Frecce Tricolori confirmed to display at Waddington</title>

	  <description>The skies above RAF Waddington's International Airshow will see the addition of red, white and green smoke trails as the event welcomes the return of the Italian Air Force's famous display team, the Frecce Tricolori, their last appearance was in 2004.  The Team, formed in 1961 are one of the largest display teams around, flying Aermacchi MB339 aircraft and the only team to display with 10 aircraft. Based at Rivolto in North East Italy, Waddington will be Frecce Tricolori's only UK appearance this year.</description>

      <title>European Airshow Council top award for RAF Waddington</title>

	  <description>The Air Show Organisers are delighted to announce that the European Airshow Council Convention has awarded RAF Waddington International Air Show the 1st Prize for Air Show Marketing in Europe.  This prestigious award was made at this year's European Airshow Council (EAC) Conference in Brussels, Belgium, on 23 February 2012; the conference was attended by some 200 delegates from across Europe and with representation from the USA and South Africa.  The EAC aims to promote air show safety and to bring together air show organisers and air show participants to achieve standards of excellence in their activities.   The programme of the Convention topics are heavily focused on event safety, it however also discusses current economical challenges, new regulations and the sustainability of events.

      <title>RAF Waddington will welcome the RAAF Boeing 737 AEW&amp;C Wedgetail!</title>

	  <description>The  Air Show is thrilled to announce the participation of the Royal  Australian Air Force (RAAF) and its Boeing 737 AEW&amp;C, Wedgetail  aircraft at this year's Air Show.  The Wedgetail, which is the RAAF  equivalent of RAF Waddington's own E-3D Sentry aircraft, is based at  RAAF Williamtown on the east coast of Australia and will make the flight  to the UK, after taking part in a major exercise in Alaska, solely for  the airshow.  It will be the first time a RAAF Wedgetail has been to a  UK Airshow since the first aircraft was delivered to Australia in 2009.
The Wedgetail joins the growing list of international participants,  with the news that the Swiss F18 Hornet will make a welcome return after  10 years absence from the show, partnered by the Swiss Super Puma  display, which has not been seen in the UK since 2001.</description>

      <title>Top Award for the RAF Waddington International Air Show</title>

	  <description>The Royal British Legion (RBL), which provides support to serving and ex-Service personnel and their families, has awarded the RAF Waddington International Air Show its Courtesy Cup for 2012. RAF Waddington received the prestigious accolade from the Lincolnshire Branch of the RBL following its efforts to promote and raise the profile of the charity during its annual International Air Show.
The Lincolnshire Branch of the RBL is recognised as one of the most active and successful in the country and has been a regular attendee at the Air Show for many years now. Brigadier Barry Reeves, the President of the Lincolnshire Branch of the RBL will present the award to the Acting Station Commander RAF Waddington, Wing Commander Sean Donoghue at RAF Waddington on Friday 17th February.</description>

      <title>RAF Waddington - All Change At The Top!</title>

	  <description>RAF Waddington has a new Station Commander. Group Captain Al Gillespie ADC MA BSc (Hons) RAF took over from the outgoing Station Commander, Group Captain Chris Jones, on Monday 2 January 2012. Group Captain Gillespie is no stranger to the base having previously been stationed at RAF Waddington as Officer Commanding 23 Sqn. As the Station Commander and ISTAR Force Commander at RAF Waddington, Group Captain Gillespie takes command of the RAF's Shadow R1, Sentinel R1, Reaper MQ-9 and E3-D Force Elements in addition to commanding the personnel of 51 Sqn currently providing trained personnel on deployment with the USAF's Rivet Joint aircraft.       <title>Â£117,500 raised from the 2011 RAF Waddington International Air Show</title>

	  <description>RAF Waddington has gone "sky high" with the proceeds raised in aid of Charity at the 2011 International Air Show. Both the Royal Air Force Benevolent Fund (RAFBF) and The Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) will each benefit from a whopping £50,000 donation.
