Airshow Podcast

Welcome to the Waddington Airshow Podcast - the monthly preview and behind the scenes look at what is coming at the Airshow. We'll have discussions with the team working hard to put it together and a few treats that can't be missed.

What is a podcast?

A podcast is a collection of electronic audio recordings (blogs/shows) that you can subscribe to. Most podcasts including this one won't cost you a penny.

Do I have to subscribe?

No, subscription isn't necessary, but it's recommended so you don't miss out. Feel free to pop-by our website anytime to check out the most recent recording or review archived ones. To the right you will see a player if you'd like to listen online, or you can select your chosen recording, download (right click the link) for playing on your favourite media player.

Why subscribe?

Subscribing means that you'll never miss out on the latest from the Airshow and because podcasts use standard methods of distribution (rss), you can choose your favourite method.

OK, what do I need then?

Well there are two main methods of subscribing to a podcast; online and offline:

   1. Online services are usually free and have the benefit that you can access your subscriptions from anywhere. The downside is that you need to remember to revisit your service provider to get the latest, not only from the Airshow but any other feed you subscribe to. A popular rss aggregator at the moment is Google Reader, it's free and all you need is a Google Account - click the button to the right to subscribe. You can use any feed reader you like, simple copy the rss feed address and paste it into your chosen reader.
   2. Offline services usually consist of a installed program or desktop widget. These have the advantage that they will automatically retrieve the latest recording for you and you can usually easily synchronise your downloaded programs to your favourite mp3 player or iPod. Perhaps the most popular program is iTunes, but if you simply want to manage your subscriptions and aren't interested in all the other things iTunes brings then you can download juice free.
