Douglas Bader Enclosure
The Douglas Bader Enclosure is a crowd line enclosure designated for Air Show visitors with disabilities. Clients of the Enclosure enjoy:
- An outside enclosure with an excellent view of the flying display
- Private toilets
- A range of pay-as-you-go refreshments and light snacks
- Tables and chairs
- Cadets and staff from 2357 (Goole) Squadron, Air Training Corps, who will be in attendance to assist your needs
- Private car parking adjacent to the Enclosure (a special vehicle tag for this purpose will be sent out with admission tickets)
- Enclosure tag to enter and leave the Enclosure as you please during the day
- Priority reservation opportunity for the 2013 Air Show
Places in the enclosure are limited and must be reserved in advance. No tickets will be available on the day. Places are limited to the disabled person and their carer, i.e. 2 persons. Requests for an additional immediate family member might be possible by prior arrangement with the Reservations Manager on tel. 01522 726102.
Places are priced at £8 (plus Air Show admission) to cover the cost of the facility. To reserve your places please download the booking form (see links below) and send it with your payment to the Air Show Office.
Please note that the car park area is a green field site and consequently could be uneven in places. It may be possible to hire the use of a powered scooter during your visit. For more information contact Fair Mobility on 01949 845189. We strongly recommend that you reserve your scooter in advance before the show.
