Other App's

In addition to our official Navigator App which is available from both the Apple App Store and Google Play, we are supporting two other smart phone technologies which will give you detailed information as you wander the show.

QR Codes

QR Codes look like square barcodes, as you wander the Static Line you will see one of these in front of most aircraft. You can use an app on your smart phone to scan these to retrieve detailed information about the aircraft you are looking at. You can even save craft as favourites for review later at your leisure.

There are plenty of app's available for most smart phones including iOS, Android, Blackberry, Symbian and Windows Phone. We'd like to recommend one which is available on both iOS and Android:

Augmented Reality

Similar in some respects to the Waddington Airshow Navigator app, Augmented Reality (AR) allows you to use your smart phone to locate aircraft on the Static Line. With AR you can view the static line though your phones and have information about what you're looking at overlaid. In a similar way to the QR Code app's, you can then request detailed information and save for review later.

For this we are using an app called Layar. It's available in iOS and Android. When you arrive, simply search for Waddington Airshow for available layers.
